Lr. Nexus Refund Policy

1. Introduction

This Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs the procedures and conditions under which refunds may be issued by Lr. Nexus (the “Company”), an online retailer of electronic equipment. This Policy is designed to comply with the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (CPA) of South Africa, and other relevant legislation. By purchasing products from the Company, you (“Customer”) agree to the terms of this Policy.

2. Definitions

 

  • “Product(s)”: Refers to any electronic equipment sold by the Company.
  • “Defective Product(s)”: Products that fail to meet the specifications or are not fit for their intended purpose as stipulated by the CPA.
  • “Non-Defective Product(s)”: Products that meet all specifications and are fit for their intended purpose.
  • “Cooling-Off Period”: A statutory period of seven (7) business days within which a customer may return goods purchased as a result of direct marketing.
  • “Return Period”: The time frame within which a customer may return a Product for a refund, repair, or replacement.

3. General Refund Conditions

3.1. Cooling-Off Period

  • In accordance with Section 16 of the CPA, Customers may return Products purchased as a result of direct marketing within seven (7) business days from the date of delivery for a full refund, excluding any delivery charges.
  • Products must be returned in their original packaging, unopened, and unused.

 

3.2. Defective Products

  • Defective Products may be returned within six (6) months of delivery for a full refund, replacement, or repair at no additional cost to the Customer, as per Section 56 of the CPA.
  • The Company reserves the right to inspect and test the returned Products to verify the defect.
  • If no defect is found or if the defect is the result of misuse, abuse, or neglect, the Customer will not be entitled to a refund or replacement, and the Product will be returned to the Customer at their expense.

 

3.3. Non-Defective Products

  • Non-defective Products may be returned within seven (7) days of delivery, subject to a 15% restocking fee.
  • Products must be returned in their original packaging, unopened, and unused.
  • The Customer will be responsible for all return shipping costs.

4. Refund Process

4.1. To initiate a return, the Customer must contact the Company at ProductQ@lr-nexus.com  within the applicable Return Period and provide the following information:

  • Proof of purchase (invoice or receipt).
  • Detailed description of the reason for the return.
  • Photographs or videos of the Product, if applicable.

4.2. The Company will review the request and, if approved, provide the Customer with a Return Authorization Number (RAN) and return instructions.

4.3. The Customer must return the Product to the Company within ten (10) business days of receiving the RAN.

4.4. Upon receipt and inspection of the returned Product, the Company will notify the Customer of the approval or rejection of the refund.

4.5. If approved, refunds will be processed within fourteen (14) business days and will be issued via the original payment method.

5. Exceptions

5.1. The following Products are not eligible for return or refund unless they are defective:

  • Custom or special-order Products.
  • Products that have been used, installed, or altered.
  • Products that are not in their original condition and packaging.
  • Software, downloadable Products, or digital content.

6. Limitation of Liability
 

The Company’s liability for any claim, whether based on contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, for any loss or damage arising out of, connected with, or resulting from the sale of Products shall in no event exceed the purchase price of the Products giving rise to the claim.

7. Amendments

The Company reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time by posting the revised Policy on its website. Such amendments shall become effective immediately upon posting.

8. Governing Law

This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
